While Sony has yet to officially announce the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn in 2017, we do know that it will come at some point after the release of PlayStation 5 next holiday season. But for now, the only new Horizon-based content coming in the foreseeable future won’t be in the form of a video game.
Titan Comics recently announced that the first installment in the Horizon Zero Dawn comic book series will be released next year. The comic will not be a prequel to the game’s events, but rather, the series will take place immediately after the events of the first game. Horizon Zero Dawn Is Getting A Comic Book Sequel Which Is Set To Be Released In 2020 Thus, it will likely contain a ton of content that will be highlighted in Horizon Zero Dawn 2.
After announcing the comic book project, Titan Comics has released the following statement regarding their upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn release. Horizon is full of content, because the first crack of Guerrilla Games in an open world game will take between 50 and 70 hours for players, not to mention its solo expansion called The Frozen Wilds.
Even though the Horizon franchise is owned by Sony, there is a rumor that the game will arrive on PC in February of next year. For now, the rumor has not been confirmed, but if the game arrives on PC early next year, there should be an official announcement soon. The Horizon Zero Dawn to PC rumor started after YouTube user Anton Logvinov reported it earlier this month. Again, as it has not been confirmed by anyone, the rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.
